Making a Valentine’s Heart for My Beloved One.

Hello there…

This time around is the cupid love’s season where we normally can see couple celebrating Valentine’s Day. Conventional present like flowers and chocolate probably can buys any girl's heart. It doesn’t matter if you’re single or engaged to someone else, it would still worth our time to spend it with a memorable way.

Hmm…I take the initiative to make a Valentine’s heart to my girlfriend.

As I am too lazy to make a complicated design, I preferred to work on my digital electronic technique. What I am trying to say is by using timer 555 and other binary counter to make it work perfectly.

In this case, I am using two IC counters and one timer to make the basic circuitry design.

Here is the enlisted item:

1. Veroboard and strip board
2. Red colored LEDs (14 units)
3. IC holder (3 units)
4. Timer 555
5. IC 4017 (2 units)
6. Wires
7. Recycled mobile phone charger(to be modified)
8. Two resistors (10k-Ohms)
9. Capacitor (4.7uF,16V)
10. Screw and copper joint
11. Hand Drill set and other related tools

By using Eagle PCB, I have designed a circuit schematic to see the proper way the system work.

Next, I start the first task which is assembling all the leds on to the veroboard.

Once the LEDs were fixed, I proceed with my timer and counter components. Soldering process taking place shortly…

Overall circuit should be tested at this point.

Finally, the dc power source is attached and it works.
Sorry for the poor quality of my recorded video.

Its design reflects simplicity in the name of love.

Stay tuned for my future project.

Thank you.
