Looks familiar ? Seen that somewhere else before ? Yea... That's a Liquid Crystal Display (aka LCD). Bought from electronics hardware store where I used to shop at. Well, it looks simple right. The key element of Kentronicx is to make everything as simple as it sound. But how ? Trust me. All the projects I've made, doesn't need an engineer's skill or computer geek's brain to work it out. Just three things. Time, passion and curiosity. Keep this in your mind. Use your time with passion and fulfill your curiosity.
Hmm... How about the development software and programs I'm using throughout the journey ?
Here's the list goes by...
1. Arduino IDE
Arduino is everything to me. いい すきです. Yes, it is. It's a development platform where we can use it to make the code, verify and runs our command on a small piece of microcontroller (ATMEGA 328). In other words, we just have to learn some basic computer programming skill. Together with its sample coding, learning is gonna be fun.
2. Visual Basic
Visual Basic is another programming language where we could create a computer graphic user interface application (GUI). It's normal that we prefer to face some graphical images rather than fairly black and white alphabets. Play this on your computer and watch the effect on the screen or detect the changes something you connect it to.
3. App Inventor (by MIT)
Sounds cool... The apps run on your smartphone, globally commercialized apps through Playstore (Android) or App store (Apple iOS), and the apps created under by some techno-experts. What's the common point that has pass-by your mind ? Find it out yourself !
App inventor is an open source of environment which is readily available online, we just need to create a google account to 'unlock its treasure'. It's very simple to learn. Just like playing a scattered puzzle.
4. SolidWorks
Wow... Finally it arrives ! Too common for someone who has mechanical background. SolidWorks is a computer aided design (CAD) program used by more than 2 million engineers globally right now (from Wikipedia ). Learn to draw your prototype with it. It works well. It's 2014. Spend lesser time on your drawings with regular pencil and paper !
5. MATLAB
Do this calculation. 1+1. That's easy. Any calculator could tell you the answer less than a second. Now,123456789 times with 123456789. Ok pretty tough huhh ? A scientific calculator is up. How about 123456789 to the power of 10 ?
Matlab is a numerical computing environment and also considered as the fourth generation programming language. Matrix manipulation, graph plotting and user interface is part of Matlab.
6. Livewire
Livewire is one of the greatest electronic circuit simulation software. All the components behave and work exactly the same as its hardware. Tracking and debugging the error could be done before we assemble the real circuit.
7. Fritzing
Fritzing is kind of similar to livewire. User-friendly. Online guidelines available. However, simulation is still not available in Fritzing.
